Merlot Colli Euganei DOC

Merlot has been cultivated for many years now at the foot of the little hills in Monticelli. According to popular tradition, the poet Ugo Foscolo stayed in this very area whilst he was writing ‘The last letters of Jacopo Ortis’. The wine has a bright ruby red colour, scents of red berry fruits, and a rounded, velvety taste.

Vineyard
Grapes: 100% Merlot.
Average yield of 10,000 kg of grapes per hectare.

Winemaking
50% of the wine matures for 10 months in French oak barriques.
Assemblage (blending) in stainless steel and 4 months’ maturation in bottle.

Alcohol content
Alcohol 13%.

Packaging
0,75 l or 0,375 l Bordeaux bottle; 6 or 12 bottle cartons.
